That’s a very good question! I have no idea because I just moved across the country a couple months ago. Near Pittsburgh now. So I have no idea where to look for a good mechanic who can really pin this out. My father is an electrician and naturally is great with vehicle electrical as well. But...
Hey! Thanks for the response! Yeah, so the codes that came up were the P0740 & P0700 but only with the engine light on.
No actual codes are being read for my wheel speed sensors at all. It’s kinda weird honestly.
The code P0740:
P0740 is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for "Torque Converter...
It's been a long 2 months trying to pin point the issues I am having with my Liberty but I am close to getting her fixed. I do know that she's having some transmission fluid issues and ABS wheel speed sensor issues. The P0740 and P0700 are still coming up on my vehicle.
Common problems with the...
The noise and punch feeling under my brake pedal started before I got it fixed. The shop informed me that fixing the few things they fixed would "eliminate the noise." As soon as I got into the Jeep the day they were finished with the work... it made the same noise. I went back and informed them...
I used some peel-able paint for the wheels, fenders, grill, etc. Just to add the black to it since it was that old faded grey color that comes stock with the Jeep. The grill looks neat with the black.
THANK YOU GUYS FOR YOUR RESPONSES. IT MEANS A LOT! I put a code reader that my cousin recommended in my Amazon cart. I’ll be getting that for “future use.” I think I’m going to get the ABS sensor replaced because honestly after wiggling it and making sure it was connected properly the other day...
Agreed ! I said the same thing. Sadly my dad really recommended the guy and they saw how I could be a loyal person. Now my antennas are up and I don’t act nice. Lol
Thank you! I can do most of the work on my baby but I’m nervous with the transmission. Anyone would be. Haha. I might have to find myself one of those trust worthy mechanics who work out of their own garage.
Originally I posted an entry in regards to my ABS, ESP/BAS & Traction Control kicking in when applying the brakes over any little bump or crack in the road.
I took it to a shop and they told me that I needed my calipers, rotors and brakes replaced even though I just put brand-new brakes on...
Yeah I went to the part store and the codes they read were: P0700 and then P0740
Has to do with the torque converter.
So I’m assuming all of this is tied into each other somehow.
Yes it made the noise before I did the work. And I went back to the shop to let them know that it was still making that noise and they said that the braking system is all good. So I informed them that the light keeps coming on saying ABS ESP and traction control, and they told me that everything...
Hey guys, I’m having issues with my abs, esp and bas light all of a sudden. It comes on randomly.
Also I noticed there’s a kick under my foot when I press my brakes. It even sounds like a disk is moving across another disk. I literally did $4,000 worth of work on my Liberty the other day...
