I had to start a new thread for this one ...
For all you Dremmel or 1/8" collet rotary tool users, 105 pc sanding polishing thing-a-ma-jigs. The regular price is cheap as it is. You would be lucky to find a comparable set for under $20 elsewhere up here. But at $2.43 it's a steal...

Installed these bad boys on the weekend... PN:58649 for 04' Dakota.
The spring perch needed to be ground down a bit at the outside front corner but nothing drastic. That and a few galvanized washers to take up a little slack at the mounting points is all that was required.
The shocks...
Well .. after an exhaustive (sorry 'bout that) search of the interwebz and consulting with my trusted advisers in the Random Thoughts thread, I decided on the quietest muffler that Dynomax makes.
Rawr ....
Chopped out the old junk just before (and after) the 1/4" restriction. Grinder with a...
Well ... I bought it because the prospect of being able to be sloppy around all of the plastic on the KJ is just too enticing. :D
The only thing I can say for it is that it does not in fact, leave nasty white wax streaks on your trim ...
It shines well enough I suppose but seemed to be...
Suggestion ...
Can the default text colour for web links be changed ... anything other than slightly bold black would help differentiate it from static text.
All the best,
Am I correct in my assumption that if I have the Front Drive shaft removed (from the transfer case) and both front CV half shafts removed ... the front dif will not spin?
I have the (rear) wheels and rotors off ... if I turn the hub should it be completely smooth?
I've been chasing a noise all weekend :birgits_tiredcoffee

Hi Everybody ...
Just replaced the water pump in the KJ without a hitch ...
until I squeezed the lower rad hose a few times to cycle the air pockets through ... the third time I feel a hard lump inside the hose.
It would appear that the thermostat has come out of the housing and...
Hey All
It's time for a new front drive shaft on the old girl ... she's grumblin' in reverse.
Couple questions;
1. Has anyone had any experience with Indy Drive shafts? http://indydriveshafts.com/
2. When I install the new shaft is it just a dry fit or do I need any lubricant(s)...
Hi All ... I removed the spare tire bracket to take care of a little rust I saw from the top.
I am left with the bracket reinforcements (2 horizontal black metal plates) on the studs and I am pretty sure that they are completely rusted to the tail gate. No amount of gentle force will remove...
Completely forgot about this pic... As we were leaving the Toronto Zoo last summer I made my daughter snap this pic when I saw the decal :D
So .. who is it?
I noticed some small rust spots on the bottom inside rear door when I was removing my (disposable) rock rails to attack some rust spots. As I began to file them down I realized that almost the entire length of the door at the seam, under the body coloured caulking is completely rusted...
Just a heads up to you Ontario types....

This is why I can't carry more than my canoe on top of my KJ ...
After seeing inside it's no wonder the weight limit is so low. Overloading them could easily be a catastrophic event.
Cheers,
P.S. the plastic "support" only extends about an...
Anyone use one of these? Seems like a great idea!
