I got it off only once things really warmed up after driving a while....
Would anti seize be best to lube the threads..??

I sometimes use channel locks on mine. Usually take some old oil and wipe the threads down though, that seems to help.

mine had a disc in there but now its gone. think last place i went took it out. anyone else have that disc? is it required? i use one of those rubber strap grip things to take the cap off.

I like that it is and I just use the strap on my purse as a strap wrench works every time. I only hit things with my purse when I need a hammer. Right tool for the right job learn to use your purse properly guys and don't abuse your tool.

Ok I think I found out why the Cap was so Tight..The rubber ring on the top was bone dry.
So were the threads, I fixed that by...

I cleaned/coated the Battery terminals while I was there as well.

I also found that Snap On has an Oil Cap tool as well for 2000 & newer.

Can't get the cap off, ya bunch of no good limp-wristed..... ;)
