Mine is hard but not welded. I was just thinking that today.

I sometimes use channel locks on mine. Usually take some old oil and wipe the threads down though, that seems to help.

Yup, mine is always tight. I just use my man hands, no issues.

mine had a disc in there but now its gone. think last place i went took it out. anyone else have that disc? is it required? i use one of those rubber strap grip things to take the cap off.

I like that it is and I just use the strap on my purse as a strap wrench works every time. I only hit things with my purse when I need a hammer. Right tool for the right job learn to use your purse properly guys and don't abuse your tool.

First I hit it with my purse. Then I use a pair of grippy gloves. Does the trick every time.

So were the threads, I fixed that by...
