HOW TO: Install front D-Rings

Pick up a couple of trailer hitch bars. I found these for $1 because the hole for the pin was the wrong size and the store wanted to get rid of them.
You must be registered for see images



Remove the front bumper and then remove the access cap for the bolts.

Mark and drill the mounting holes. You may need to open the hole for the D-ring slightly.

Pick up some strong bolts. Note longer, stronger and thicker 1/2"

Reinstall the bumper. A bit of cutting will be necessary

Thats it.....

Match the rear one also \\:D/

Well, I meant new photos. I wanted to do this on mine, but half the photos are dead. Thanks for the update though. Gives me more reason to do it. O:)

what kinda tow arms are those? i want to do this mod to my 05 renegade, but i do not want to cut the fascia crap.

they're 1" (class II ?) arms with a 3.5 inch drop. The drop is what makes then come out the hole instead of cutting.

I have a few more of those shackles if you are interested in em. PM me.

yup. drilled a couple holes through each so they line up with the holes in the frame where you mount the stock tow hooks. Then just bolt them up.

how the frick did you drill through that super thick tow hitch? ive been looking for a D-ring place but no luck so far =(
