the main diffrence between a trac-lok and an open carrier is the clutches inside of it ... the way it works is simple ! your wheels spin tthe oil heat between the cluches , they stick together and both wheels start spining ! but in normal driving , a trak=loc operats the same way as an open carrier axle ! so if you jack it up on a lift you ll have to spin your wheel real real fast if you want to check it its limited slip or not !! so either find the tag , ask at dealler ship or wait till you change your axle fluid , remove the cover and look at it !!
