If you changed the solenoid pack you probably should do a quick learn regardless of having any issues. Having said that I cant say for sure it will cure your problem.
I just did a full rebuild recently and while doing it I did research a fair amount on common issues I can address while it was...
If the level is fine, drop the pan and see whats in there. There is a small chance you filter is plugged and changing it will fix it. You can change the shift solenoid also as it may be giving trouble as well.
BUT....
My interpretation of your codes:
The transmission has sensors to measure...
When I replace a seal I do it slightly different. I make a good quality scribe mark on the nut and yolk. When re-assembling I tighten the nut slightly past the scribe mark (1/64 of a turnish). This assures you have reached the full torque required to crush the sleeve (essentially as tight as...
If the crush sleeve doesnt take much torque to crush I would be weary of it (not sure where you sourced it from). I cant see any reason why it would be less stout than the rear one. A little blue loctite may not hurt as well, because you dont want that nut backing off. It will destroy the...
The procedure you posted makes no sense to me.
Install the pinion as described in the procedure, but ignore the whole torque procedure for the nut.
Tighten the nut until you achieve the bearing preload noted in the procedure. I assume since you set up your rear differential you understand what...
I cant say for sure why your engagement is so slow, but my best guess is maybe your synchro is damaged or the spring is weak or broken. Hard to know the history.
I havent had a transfer case apart for at least 5-6 years so Im going by memory here. Unfortunately it will cost a fair amount to...
Hard starting when engine to temp can be an indication of a problem with your Evap system.
If its especially bad right after fueling up that is a sure sign its Evap related
When you pull the transfer case lever it doesn't necessarily fully lock into 4wd immediately. There are synchronizers that need to mesh together to fully engage 4wd. The synchronizer on one side is spring loaded and it is a slight difference in front vs back wheel speeds that allows the...
Unless Im missing your point are you asking for off the shelf/vs local transmission builder?
You got a quote from a "local reputable shop" I havent looked into off the shelf rebuilds but i doubt they will be much cheaper. I would stick with a local shop so if you have issues you can deal...
Did a google search and all seems to point to a wheel speed sensor or the speedo sensor on the rear differential (assuming it is still there in 2006 models- IDK offhand). The wiring for that sensor is notorious for failing as it flexes with every movement up/down of the differential.
If you switch or rebuild your transmission I believe you will need to do re-learn on the PCM to reset the CVIs (Clutch volume index). I just went through this with my 42RLE rebuild and it isn't difficult with a good scanner.
Also if the the torque converter is different have good look at the...
These driveshafts are rebuildable by prying off the end cap and removing the snap ring. The cv joint then slides off splines on the driveshaft.
If you don’t want the hassle of dealing with returns and possibly getting another wrong part, just remove the cv joints off the new driveshaft and...
You can test the #3 injector wiring with a noid light. Hopefully you can rent one from Autozone or similar. If not they are cheap to buy but I'm sure you dont want to purchase tools you may never use again. The light will show if the injector is getting a signal to fire (while cranking the...
If both vehicles are similarly equipped engine/trans you should be okay to swap them.
BUT.....
I had to swap ECMs 4 years ago on my current Jeep (2003) and based on what info I could find online (for what its worth) indicated that you would need to change the VIN that is programmed in the ECM...
