I did your swap too and didnt realize they was a fulltime light until I drove a factory one years later.

I wondered if the lamp is simply missing from the dash cluster. I havent checked yet.

From what I understand the lamp is missing on the dash, but I’m wondering if there needs to be modifications done to the wiring

I had the issue in my jeep it wasn't showing it either after I enabled the transmission in my scanner as being something like 4wd unit. You get 2 different selections and I wish I could remember them exactly, but unfortunately I can't. Needless to say I enabled the one that made sense for my Libby and the full time light stop working, after I picked the other option, the original one the full time light started working again. Sorry I can't remember the selections, but I do remember it disabled the light on mine.

Do you happen to remember what type of function this way. Like was it ecu programming or something else. I’m just trying to find a scanner tool that will do that, and the one you have is too expensive so i’m hoping to get a cheaper one that has that capability

You need a 2 way scanner that will allow you to make changes. It's been awhile but I was in the bcm and cluster/instrument section. It's in there that I was able to make the change. There are cheaper versions of my scanner, or if you find a mom an pop garage they may be able to help you for a small fee to hook up thier computer with you explaining what to try. There used to be a place that rented the Dodge DRB3 unit, not sure if they still do. Or there was an emulator as well.
