Hello to anyone who can help, my wife's 2.8crd auto is having gearbox issues, would anyone be able to recommend a auto gearbox specialist near the midlands, before I go cap in hand to a main dealer and pay their £145 an hour labour fee.
Fault code is reading as P0876, not that helps me as the most i've ever done is change the heater resistor in this thing, and that peaked my abilities.
thank you.

Transmission Fluid Pressure
The P0876 code stands for “Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch D Circuit Range Performance.” It’s logged when the computer detects the transmission fluid pressure sensor’s voltage isn’t within the normal range.
Aside from a faulty pressure sensor, a transmission control module malfunction, low transmission fluid level, internal valve body issues, and internal transmission failure can also trigger the P0876 code.
If this code is set, you might notice symptoms like an illuminated check engine light, decreased fuel economy, and improper transmission shifting.

First job is to check the gearbox oil level, if its low don't drive it and don't put normal ATF in it, you will wreck it, it needs ATF +4, unusual here, but available from Smith & Allan, I use it in mine.

The price is pretty much right on what I’ve paid over here, considering exchange rates.
