Have an 06 KJ Sport v6 3.7. Oil leaking from what appears to be behind the
oil filter. I tried changing the filter several times and after some time on the road, the filter is covered in oil. So i don't think its the filter itself but the assembly its attached to. Anyone know what this "assembly" is called and how easy it would be to replace. I called around to advance and oreilly auto parts but they seem to have no idea what the hell I am talking about.

I first thought of an old gasket. Easy to leave behind.

Then the oil pressure sender if no extra gasket on the mount.

Then check the oil pressure sending unit right above the filter like uss2defiant said.

If your 2002 Jeep Liberty with a 3.7L engine is experiencing a coolant leak near the oil filter housing, the most likely culprit is a faulty oil filter housing gasket; this gasket seals the coolant passages within the housing and can leak if worn or damaged, causing coolant to drip from the area around the oil filter. https://www.ebay.com/itm/133355841886
