545RFE removal 2.8 CRD

Hi. I have a 2005 KJ ltd. I need to replace the transmission and I am looking for pointers. Is is better to drop the subframe. Some of the attachment bolts are a pain to get to. Like the upper bolt on the started is a real bummer. And then we have the two forward facing bolts next to the alignment dowels. Any help would be appreciated.

The upper starter bolt really needs a ratchet ring spanner, with one it's a 10 minute job. I haven't had to pull the gearbox on mine thankfully so I can't offer any advice, however the manuals will show you what's involved, have you downloaded them?
