My 2008 Liberty has one of the stgock cd / AM, FM radio with CD p;ayer. I hit the hands free button and the screen says “NOT equipped with this feature. “ Is that just the radio, or more? Can I just get a stock radio that has the hands free feature and will it work?

I think it’s more than the just the radio. You may also need a steering wheel with audio control buttons and a microphone to have hands free with factory radio.

I installed an Alpine head unit with a back up camera in my daughter’s 2009 KK. She now enjoys hands free, a USB port to charge her phone, Apple CarPlay and a back up camera. I installed everything myself and it cost $450! Well worth it and more functionality than any stock stereo offered for our Liberty’s and sounds so much better!
