    Overflow tube dripping

Well ya'll. the job was just not for me. I did get the dash pulled back and realized that pulling the dash back enough to see the HVAC box was good enough to replace the heater box but didn't realize I would have to pull the whole hvac box out too to open it up to replace the evaporator core. I...

Replacing harmonic balancer and crankshaft seal

Wanted to update this thread: I finally got around to replacing the harmonic balancer and crankshaft seal on my 2006 Jeep Liberty. This is definitely a very doable job for anyone that can follow instructions and plan ahead (unlike me-ish). Here are my steps I followed, and I will throw in a...

    Overflow tube dripping

agreed, but i did see a good video online where you just need to remove the fan and that would give you enough room. I am hoping to do that over the weekend. the evaporator core on the other hand. it will be a few!

    Overflow tube dripping

i got my black light last night and shined it all over the AC components under the hood, not seeing any significant as far as leaks. I did see some dye, but i think that was when I was replacing it. After I wiped it down, the green glow went away. However, when I shine by the evaporator drain...

AC refrigerant leaking from black tube after being charged

    Overflow tube dripping

Thanks for the response. I am starting to the whole picture together now. I think it is definitely the evaporator. From what I read, if I smell refrigerant smell through the vents and I am pretty sure I am seeing something other than water come out. When I charge the system and have the gauge...

AC refrigerant leaking from black tube after being charged

Thanks for your response. Yes normal it should be water. But I added refrigerant with the dye in it and it is clearly refrigerant that is leaking from here. However, further research, I think the black tube maybe part of the evaporator core and maybe the evaporator core needs to be replaced...

AC refrigerant leaking from black tube after being charged

I just replaced the compressor, the low pressure line and the condenser. After vacuuming, the system and the vacuum holding, we charge the system and the clutch was engaging. And AC cool air was flowing. Then after about 20 minutes, it stopped working and noticed refrigerant. Was leaking from a...

    Overflow tube dripping

If you are still using this site. I have a question. We just replaced out compressor, condenser and low pressure line because we were told they were in need of it. We vacuumed the line and didn’t lose the vacuum. We then charged it and the next morning the clutch wouldn’t engage. Noticed...
