What did you do to your jeep today?

Had the brake stick on mine, seal had split and let the outer edge of the cylinder rust and nip the piston ( weird, plastic pistons hard and brittle ). I bought a rebuild kit replaced the piston + seal and spent ages cleaning the bore... with hindsight a new half caliper is cheap so save...

What did you do to your Jeep today? -Wrangler Edition-

Has the turbo go its own cooling system? Liquid cooling on turbos is common with the daft stop start systems but I've not seen one with it's own tank before.

    2005 jeep liberty pump

Finally got the old one stripped, centre bolt is conventional right hand thread, once it's removed pop an M8 in to jack the outer cover off, then remove the large circlip and draw the pully off.

    Driving without front drive shaft

I haven't checked but there have been a few posts on here about different length props, just thought it was worth keeping to avoid any problems later.

    need manual trans

It's a bit more involved than that, the ECU is set up for auto so would need to be replaced or recoded, the props are different lengths too i think. If you are in Europe the easiest option is sell yours and buy one with a manual gearbox.

    Driving without front drive shaft

Keep the old shaft for reference or even rebuild, manual ones will be rare if they are different to the autos.

    Reverse

Is it a new box or a second hand one? Not sure if just unplugging it would do it, it would be purely in mechanical mode then.

2002 Jeep Cherokee sport 2.4 petrol-Broken Cam-belt, how do I realign the Camshafts?

Just had a look on Google, it looks like it's just aligne the marks, no pins involved. https://www.enginebuildermag.com/2014/02/rebuilding-liberty-engine-notes-jeeps-2-4l-i4-engine/ However I would rotate it to align the marks and check again it there is any question. What does the manual say in...

2002 Jeep Cherokee sport 2.4 petrol-Broken Cam-belt, how do I realign the Camshafts?

Possibly, I'm afraid mine are diesel so I don't know, doesn't the manual have drawings of the service tools in it? Good news it starts and runs after the belt went, most modern stuff is interference.

    Selec trac/4x4 system

Most of the bits rotate in 2WD without carrying any power, check the front propshaft CV joint, the rubber gator often fails and lets mud and sand into the joint.

2002 Jeep Cherokee sport 2.4 petrol-Broken Cam-belt, how do I realign the Camshafts?

I doubt it, the 2.4 is uncommon on here. However the manual will cover how to set up the timing, normally the cams are pinned or clamped to ensure alignment.

    2005 jeep liberty pump

Finally a morning without rain! Dropped the viscous heater off my old Jeep, if the forecast thunder storms for the afternoon don't happen then I'll put it on my other Jeep.

    Fan hub delete options

They are available but expensive, looks like a tiny Bridgeport spindle setup!

KJ was sideswiped on the driver side, now it drifts to the right… faint growling sound on the highway

Cars must be worth more in the US, 7k would buy my 2004 CRD 3 times over and leave change!

    Regearing and Locking Diffs

I've got a 2.8 auto and a 2.5 manual, the manual is an NV3550. Unfortunately it's done a rod bearing & the duel mass flywheel is shot so it's reduced to parts car for the other one.

    Fan hub delete options

These are CRD's the big fan is standard cooling on them.
