Fan hub delete options
I was looking at mine when I did the cambelt last time, a VW bearing looked promising with a bit of work. Be careful with engine temperature in hot weather without the viscous fan, electric fans are unlikely to be as powerful.- KJowner

AC compressor broke clutch bolt trying to turn it
The defrost will still work but demisting will be much slower without the drying effect of the ac. I'd guess that the compressor has failed.- KJowner

Crank but no start Cherokee Sport 2.4 2002... *Update: This has been solved, it was a broken Cam Belt (I won't be trusting AA diagnosis again)

Squeaking noise at 600 to 700 rpm
It's a conventional thread, the fan is a nut, the shaft is threaded. I used a bit of pipe with pin jammed into one of the holes on the hub to hold it still and a large spanner on the nut, it took some persuasion to get it off, in the end I used freezer spray on the nut and hit the spanner with a...- KJowner

Spin the alternator, the clutch pully is known to squeak. And I would seriously recommend doing the full cam belt change if it's due on miles or time.- KJowner

5v is very low to drive the coil pack, I would check the supply cable. I take it you put the other lead on the battery neutral?- KJowner
