I know for a fact that 33" tires will fit on the Liberty with absolutely no problems or clearance issues once the eBay spacer "lift" is in. I also want to see how these same 33" tires will fit on the Liberty just the way it is right now, stock.
Did I mention that the 33" tires I am putting...
Getting ready for an eBay spacer lift but mostly so I can fit 33" (closer to 34") tires.
2004 Liberty
412,000 miles
Wouldn't be surprised if springs are original
No front bumper
Shocks may have been replaced at one point
I did remove over 500 lbs from the rear of the KJ
Rear pass: 19.75"...
Trimmed away another 4" of the roof to get a cleaner look. Will probably end up cutting more when I build the back of the cab.
Stay tuned for more shenanigans!
Cut another 4" off the roof, think my Liberty pickup is looking better and getting closer to completion every day.
Before the cut
After the cut
Stay tuned for more shenanigans!
Haha, tearing out a front diff due to poor life choices is no reason to hate jeeps.
Good to hear that they dig in a go anywhere, thats exactly what I need in my yard. Don't care too much for suspension articulation or clearance unless I get anther 22" snow storm, just need to not spin tires in...
Interesting, I have not been able to find anything about AG tires on a KJ.
Do you know why they were run for a short time? I can speculate the strain on drive train and excessive wight of the tires or possibly the impossibly harsh 5mph ride on anything harder than knee deep mud?
I am a little...
Good to hear about the dual ones, they look cool but they do not look like they provide anything cold to the motor.
I ran a snorkel in the desert for last 4 years and it saved me airing out the dust from the paper filter twice a day in Death Valley, Mojave Preserve and Grand Canyon. It was also...
Thinking about either a cold air intake or a snorkel for my KJ.
Found a couple variations on CAI and a couple snorkels.
Has anyone put a snorkel on their KJ, do you have pictures, likes and dislikes?
Has anyone run a single or a twin cold air intake on their KJ? DO you have any pictures...
Trash day test drive.
Loaded the Liberty with approximately 1,000lbs of trash and drove it around for about an hour or two. No issues with the unibody collapsing and imploding. All doors and tailgate still open and close effortlessly.
So if you really think about it, that 1,000 lbs payload...
Yes these tires can not go over 20mph, and will not see pavement. My Liberty is more of a yard truck/side by side UTV than a SUV and will spend the rest of it's life hauling stuff in my yard and maybe get out on an ATV trail here or there.
I have a lot of mud and snow in my yard and tired of...
So Santa dropped off a set of tractor tires that I plan on mounting on my Liberty pickup truck.
Has anyone actually run tractor tires on their Liberty?
What size did you go with?
How did they drive?
Got me some Titan High Traction Lug tires which I'll be mounting next week.
Everyday I walk...
That's impressive, way better than my busted wheel bearing/hub that I drove home on instead of calling a tow truck. It was held on by the brake caliper bracket and CV axle nut.
Santa spoiled the kids rotten again this year, and dropped off new tires for my Liberty too.
I was not allowed to bring all 4 of them into the house. More on the tires soon, all I can say for now is that they are not 31s!
Stay tuned for more shenanigans!
Decided to load up the back with approximately 1,000 lbs of junk and trash to take to the street yesterday, ended driving around the yard and kept the load in the back for a couple hours. Doors and tailgate still open and close effortlessly. Unibody has not imploded from all the awesomeness...
tommudd,
Still waiting on a picture on a KJ/KK pickup that you claim so many others have built already, please do entertain us all and post one or two here for all to see.
I am calling your bluff.
tommudd,
Once again thank you for reflecting on your past memories, lets try this another way.
Straight from the BDS build website:
BDS "Liberty" with ALL structural metal removed so that a master fabricator could build a full DOM tubing frame in a multi-million dollar facility with an...
