Updated the maps, took about an hour and a half to do. So occupied myself for most of the time giving it a wash and wax on the outside. Nice and shiny now with new maps.
I've noticed an interesting quirk, when it's wet out or cold that sometimes steam comes out of the grille when coming to a stop. Seems this is known with the WK2's.
I took the WK2 to get aligned at the Firestone near me. Took 2 hours but the alignment was a mess and I'm guessing it never had an alignment since leaving the factory. The tech was fussy as well making sure the steering wheel was straight before it was put back in my hands. The Shop Manager...
Mine didn't come with Cruise, but it was a bare bones model as it was since it was sent over seas to Germany after being built via Chrysler Military Sales Program.
Yes it is very much, you just need the Cruise Control buttons, and then since 07's are drive by wire you do the Merlin Trick as I have learned it's called. You push and hold the brake pedal with the key to run but do not start the engine while holding the cruise control on button. It's supposed...
The AC button on the HVAC controls is known to short out. Happened to me, it was an easy fix ordering a new control unit. Just diagnosing the problem was a headache because the symptoms act like a low or high side sensor failing.
Similar what happened to me with the KJ, also didn't help it was stupidly cold as in -20 outside. Night time heading home on the interstate vehicle ahead of me was maybe 20 yards at most and all I heard was ''CEEEERACK" after a light ''thud'' like a snowball hit the windshield and saw the whole...
Which is what the 4WD is supposed to be for Off Roading, that's really my only personal gripe owning the WK2 with QT II that it's automatic and pretty much 4WD all the time. I would rather have a straight 2WD mode because the only real time I technically need 4WD is if I have to climb the...
I shall lay down the BS card, I never had any issues with hills and actually my first winter with my KJ I had worn out Wrangler SRA's on, I ended up lost at the bottom of a cul-de-sac which I had to climb out of under several inches of snow. The KJ made it up without missing a beat. I also drove...
I took my KJ through Wyoming when the Wife and I went to Los Angeles since I don't like driving through the Colorado Mountains, hit a Blizzard going through Western Wyoming where the Sisters were. Wife was on the edge as I was moving through at 75mph with no issues and I80 wasn't in the best of...
Red is one of the best to use in LED though the ones I found were very weak on the output of about 60lm or less. Unlike the Philips Red LED's I put in my Camry which gave a stellar output which was at 250lm on the brake and made a world of difference over the regular incandescent I believe the...
In my quest of furthering my knowledge of LED's I ended up changing out the LED 3157's that were at 5K in temp to ones that were 3900K in temp output. Needless to say I am twice more pleased at how the results were, since this morning I had to give the wife the Jeep to go to work while I took...
