no it will hit the cat on the passenger side and burn off ... if it is leaking for a tiny bit after the engine is stopped it lands right on the sub frame you woul dnever see it on the ground.
tombo they wouldnt do my ball joint recall with the lift.. i pressed in moogs and was dopne with it. i went to walker and tecumseh and they're a bunch of dicks.
I got the 700 code i also got incorrect gear ratio code... at the very leaste you are at that time for a change .. and it is the cheapest of all options. while they have the pan dropped they can tell you more clearly.
HJ when i was running tward 50k on the fluid it started shifting funny i think its something to do with the viscosity ... mine would be good cold ... soon as it heated up it would shift stupid .. went in figuring i needed a TC and fluid change ... turned out just a fluuid change it was good ...
just swapping the diff? no problem the carrier in the front bolts a little differently then tthe current one but the back axel is no issue.. took me about 4 hours all around to finish it up .
mine goes out while driving and stays out even with noone in the seat .. for me to disable it and keep the light on i just stick 2 2 litres of water or pop on it and the light stays on .

ya the 42rle is junk ... your torque converter is prolly shot the solenoid prolly bust out of its self on the side and your tranny fluid needs changing... start with the cheapest... used trannys are about 400 bucks .. a rebuilt is about 800 a new remanufactured( fixed all the nonsense of mopars...
i've normally driven about 25-30 km in town with the fuel light on. then filled it with 72 litres ... i think its a 4 litre reserver ... 1 ish gallons?

steiger performance has an actual repair kit for a fraction of the cost of a new regulator .. comes with very concise instructions..... my wife did mine.
