Those look great Jim, nice looking choice. For some peace of mind (however much of a piece you have left), the section width of your tire is 9.6". On an 8" wide wheel, that leaves you with a hair over 3/4" of sidewall protection. Not a ton, but the wheel is far from sticking out past the tire...- CactusJacked

Oh I do, rotary phones is all we had growing up. My mom still has a rotary phone in her house, old house with a phone cubby area. She never uses it, it's more of a museum piece now. Why, even my first flip fone was rotary dial, lol.- CactusJacked

Let's see, I use my smart phone for.... making calls, taking pictures, taking video, accessing email, accessing the internet, GPS, calculator, text messaging, stopwatch, flashlight, cable tv, and OBD engine monitoring. What did you do to your jeep today?
Seeing some of those Sanchez & Son (play on Sanford & Son tv show) trucks on the road gives me the creeps. They're like junk Jenga on the road. I try to zoom past them as fast as I can.- CactusJacked

Maybe a comparison they can more relate to is this.... A smart phone is like an OME lift. Flip phone is like a Daystar spacer lift. Both get a certain job done, but the OME/Smart option gives you much better results.- CactusJacked

What did you do to your jeep today?
That was me. On a rebuilt engine, I drape the panty hose over the upper radiator hose neck, then put on the upper hose. Catches a bit of crud that way. Next time though, I'm using the wife's panty hose, mine are too fancy. :happy175:- CactusJacked

Which only costs $330 more than what I am using. I've had a smart phone for the last 6-8 years, which I use for email, internet etc. Using it as an OBD monitor wasn't even on my mind back then, but it's a great bonus now....it's essentially a free multi-gauge. All dealers charge a dealer fee, also reefered to as a documentation fee. It's added to cover their cost of doing paperwork, but it should be no more than a few hundred bucks. There's nothing to hook up to the phone, it's bluetooth. But you do have to take about 5 seconds to open the app. I do plug/unplug the ALDL adapter, since it's live with the key off. Ok, make that 10 seconds instead of 5.- CactusJacked

Those scangauges cost what, between $100-150 depending on the model. What exactly are you looking to do? I bought a $16 bluetooth OBD adapter, and use a free app (Torque Lite) which gives a wide range of gauge options, as well as reading/clearing fault codes.- CactusJacked

Per the tirerack manufacturers info chart, yours are 30.1" tall. Must be that extra .1" that's getting in the way, lol You can get creative with a heat gun and cold water to push and hold that area forward. The receiver on that tube bumper is for attaching accessories (bike or storage rack etc), not a trailer. "All RRC rear bumpers feature a reinforced hitch box that is designed for off-road accessories (not designed for towing)"- CactusJacked

03 3.7L Jeep liberty oil issue. need help troubleshooting
That means you'd be adding a little over 4 quarts every 3k mile OCI (Oil Change Interval, for the acronymically impaired). You can in essence stretch your mileage interval a bit since you're constantly adding new oil.- CactusJacked

03 3.7L Jeep liberty oil issue. need help troubleshooting
If your engine had excessive blow-by (from worn piston rings), yes it could. But if you had only breathers, they would get gooey and drippy. If that was the case, then you may want to look into installing an oil catch can inline with the pcv hose.- CactusJacked
