    Head gasket blown?

If the electric fan isn't coming on when it's getting hot, there's an issue right there that needs addressed ASAP. If you haven't taken out a headgasket, you will if that isn't working.

    gas mileage?

Need to regear like everyone said. 4.10/4.11 gears is the best you can do unless you replace the front diff with the JBA unit. You'll get better mileage, and save your tranny from an early death.

    Wrong front pinion seal...

Question is, do you want to do this seal once, or get practice doing it several times? If only once, take it back to Oreillys(guessing) and buy one from the dealer for like $15. Aftermarket seals are not exact fit like OE seals. They are a seal that happens to fit in the hole, and is within...

    O2 Sensors

Not a resonator, it would be the downstream cat, not monitored. It is still required by law to have however. You didn't see resonators till you went to the KK platform.

    Overheating 2003 liberty

Yep, with the 3.7/4.7, as long as you clean and prep the mating surface, no RTV is needed. Now if it is pitted or some idiot got stupid with a 3M pad, then that is different.

    Re-Gear help

As a former des moines resident, I don't know of any place right off hand you could try. There wasn't many decent places when I wrenched there back in the 90's.

    Re-Gear help

Labor wise, it looks around 5.9hrs for the front, and 3.5hrs in back. So easily $900-$1k in labor plus fluids and parts.

    Re-Gear help

From my experience, diffs aren't that hard really. However you have to have a pretty good grasp of what is going on, how to do the measurements, and the tools to do it. You have to have a dial indicator, 1/2" torque wrench of good quality, and a 1/4" torque wrench to measure the preload on the...

Brake Fluid Confusion! I wonder Why...

One thing not mentioned it, DOT 5 can't be used in ABS systems. It is a little squishy compared to DOT 3,4 and 5.1, and doesn't respond well to the fast acting ABS systems.

I can see why he doesn't rub, looks like a lil custom work to the bottom of the bumper. Need to tend to that myself.

    2004 liberty lift

Tom says the Ironman rides a little better vs the OME. The OME seems to sit a little higher in front vs the Ironman. Either one will not have an issue with those tires. I believe Tom showed pics comparing the springs of the Ironman and the OME springs, but I can say that the Ironmans are...

    Front Brakes Pads = 911 ???

On aftermarket pads, there is a code printed on the side of the friction that identifies the material, hardness, etc. On Dealer pads, I can't say 100%

What did you do to your jeep today?

Work was dead slow today, so pulled out the RL rock sliders I just picked up used, and sanded and put a coat of paint on them. May put another coat on them for good measure and give them plenty of time to dry.

    2004 liberty lift

There are spring isolators and shock mounts that you have to re-use or buy new if you want JBA to do them for you. Otherwise you can have a local repair shop do it for you. Brushguards and bull bars don't have any real weight, they're there for looks only, so I don't see you needing the HD...

    Shocks/Struts

Struts can be found on both the front, and the rear of a vehicle. Some SUVs have them at all four corners(KL Cherokee most likely does). Shocks an be found on the front or rear as well. Both are used to slow down suspension travel velocities, and thereby stopping excessive movement as a...
