Regearing to 4.10 was the best thing I did after lifting! The Jeep now behaves as stock! I have the automatic, so in this case, to me, regearing is a must if you plan to fit 245/75R16 tires as I do. 2007 Liberty Vehicle Speed Sensor input
I upgraded the radio with Kenwood DMX-8020DABS but as far as I remember, I did not need the vehicle speed sensor wire, I only needed the PCI BUS to connect to the AXXESS ASWC-1, in order to retain the steering wheel functions. I also needed the reverse (got it from the passenger reverse light)...- nbas

This is no longer true. There are very good LED bulbs on the market but they are expensive. I have installed the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 LED bulbs which are excellent. If you change tyre diameter you have to insert the new revs per mile to the jeep's computer. This is for a 2004 with DRBIII, 2005 uses CAN bus so you have to check if this is needed and how it is done... However, I am sending you the link for the DRBIII procedure...- nbas

The fuel consumption dropped a little when I regeared to 4.10. The most important think is that with 245/75R16 MT tyres, the Jeep could not hold the OD even in the slightest ascent. Now, with 4.10 gearing the Jeep behaves as it did without tyres/lift etc.- nbas

Just for the record, here in Greece I was not able to find the front diff Spicer ring & pinion and it was very expensive to ship it (and pay customs) from US. So I found used gears from a 2.4l. As for the rear I've got new gears from Whitelk, an Italian company with very good reputation on...- nbas

When you lift it with the OME lift kit, it would be best to regear to 4.10 (from 3.73). You can use used ring & pinion gears from the 2.4l gas engine Liberties if you want to save money. Believe me, it is worth it!- nbas

Try the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 LEDs. They have an internal sealed fan, and therefore heat is generated inside the headlight. I do not know however whether this is enough for your climates...- nbas

As fog lights, I use the Diode Dynamics H10 SL1 LED bulbs which have enough light, but I use them only off-road. What are people using for brighter headlights?
I use LED and they have exactly the same beam pattern as OEM (only they have far more light). You just have to purchase good LED bulbs, not cheap Chinese...- nbas

As far as I know, 265/75R16 will not fit even with a lift (I felt that I did not need to type it as you already have 245/75R16) under normal circumstances (I meant without further cutting...) Can I regear to 3.55?
You need to regear front & rear diff. 265/75R16 is too large, as far as I know it will not fit under normal circumstances. 265/70R16 would fit instead of 245/75R16. I am running on 245/75R16 and I am very happy since I regeared to 4.10 (see my signature). i prefer 245/75R16 as it sits better on...- nbas

2004 Liberty need PID for trans temp with Torque Pro
I have the link above... It was written by a member from Germany. The only issue is that the app stops after a while, at least this is my experience. Therefore, I installed a gauge in my PML Transmission pan in order to always have the trans temp available when I am off-roading.- nbas
