    Need help ASAP

There might be a computer glitch since it was the learning procedure that seemed to be the beginning of the issue. How about disconnecting the battery overnight and turning everything back on in the morning?

    KK off-road?

Your Renegade likely came with the skid plate package. Sounds like you used them! The stock Renegades were not any higher than the rest of the KK’s. A small lift using OME springs and OME or Bilstein shocks will do a ton for your break over angle. It will also improve the on-road...

How To: Change front driveshaft / change a driveshaft head

I have done this fix for my 08 KK twice (now has 227,000 miles) and did my 07 Commander just last month (157,000 miles). The TC end of the front driveshaft seems like a wear item on just about every model of Jeep, unless it has an old fashioned U-joint there.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I heard a new one recently: Just Every Electrical Problem

    Need help ASAP

Circuit high often means it is missing a ground. Check the connector and the wires going to the pedal position sensor for a broken or frayed wire.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. My father in law held the window glass up in his Buick LeSabre one time using a cut-to-length piece of 2x4. Fixed it a couple of weeks later when the regulator became available.

Rebuilding JBA Adjust a Struts - part numbers

There’s a pic of the rear springs in a box in one of the previous posts I made here on page 2. ^^^ In terms of cost, plan on about $1000 for rebuilding the shocks, cleaning the coilovers up, repainting them, adding new springs, and shipping. Guessing, I would estimate new springs were somewhere...

Rebuilding JBA Adjust a Struts - part numbers

While it is possible to rebuild our JBA coilovers, it is harder than it seems. Ian at Wheel Every Weekend had to tig weld schrader valves to the top of the shock housings to be able to refill them with nitrogen. He told me he did not plan to refurbish any more JBA adjust a struts because of the...

    Help plz

I do want to say I have never attempted what you’re hoping to do. When my engine went, I had a shop put in a Jasper from the same model year. Please take any of my advice about swapping engines with a grain of salt.

    Help plz

The 07 and 08 had the same setup under the hood, even though the body style changed between years (mine’s and 08). If you keep the old 05 cable-driven throttle body, you will need to keep the 05 computer as well, and may need to make an adapter on the 07 engine’s intake manifold to hold the...

    Speedometer just stopped

Yup when all those lights come on at once it is almost always a wheel speed sensor (or losing contact with one).

    lockers

I have a D30 Spartan Helical sitting on my shelf for my eventual re-gear. I also have a C8.25 TORQ Locker for the rear waiting to go in. Time and money are the limiting factors. Maybe in the summer…

What did you do to your jeep today?

Yup, this O2 sensor is already malfunctioning so I don’t really mind if I destroy it. I just need it out without messing up the threads in the exhaust. I will plan to use anti-seize on it when reinstalling the new one.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I don’t have a torch. Would the propane torch in the HD / Lowe’s tool section be hot enough to do automotive work like this? I’m sure there are other rusty bolts that will need removing in the future.

First Daily Start-up: What the Heck?

No, mine didn't throw error codes because it never got so bad as to cause a lean condition or misfires while at full throttle. It's almost like the heat soak issue on the old XJ's where it is more likely if the engine is hot and you go into the store, come back out in 5-10 minutes, and try to...

First Daily Start-up: What the Heck?

Sounds very familiar. My 08 KK did that too. The fix was to replace the fuel pump inside the tank. The tank has to be dropped to do that job. Not fun but yes doable in your driveway. No smoking though! The short term workaround is to turn the key to run for a couple of seconds before...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I had a check engine light appear for P0038, which is the heater circuit for the downstream drivers side oxygen sensor. I unplugged the pigtail and tested it with the multimeter, and it tested bad (ohms of resistance way too high). I prefer Mopar for most things but Mopar O2 sensors are pricey...

    2016 Liberty Radio Replacement

I found an open box Atoto F7 on eBay and while it has been a little bit glitchy, it has great sound and runs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Very happy with this low budget solution. Edit, this was for my XK 07 Commander. My KK 08 Liberty still has the stock stereo, but modded with a bluetooth...

2009 KK Jeep scalloped driver front tire

So true, the port side UCA rear bolt is a PITA! You will need a long extension or pair of extensions and get at it from the battery box area, after removing the battery box. To remove and reinstall the bolt once the nut is off, do so from outside the vehicle in the wheel well area, reaching...
