    Diff and axle hunting

Looks awesome, especially with that helical in there! I hear ya on the patience part, my junkyard 4.10 front diff housing stares at me every time I go to get into my jeep wondering when the day will be. My stock 3.55 housings drain was a machine thread with built in o-ring/gasket, and the one I...

    2004 Jeep Liberty “Jessie”

Always awesome to save a vehicle from being crushed when it doesn't need to be, and to be able to document all the progress/things done/places gone in the kj. I don't have any kj info to add for ya yet, but maybe a mod can move your thread over to the member's journals section? That's where...

    Tail light guards?

Looks nice even before the other improvements you've made, I think I spy a weather tech or similar style wind/rain guards on there, mine (hopefully) arrive tomorrow! I had the same problems in the past with led lighting, most everything made too cheap or engineered to fail. Although I have a...

positive attitude tom as always ;) we can agree to disagree on that one. :p

    Tail light guards?

I could see that happening against some brush or anything able to grab a hold of it for sure. If I found some metal ones I was hoping for a different look added, and a bonus of minor parking lot defenses from people loading their stuff like they're practicing martial arts lol.

    Tail light guards?

Those are listed as the oe replacement for the renegade lamps, which I'm guessing they are plastic like the oem ones I saw in the junkyard, but I thank you for your search. Otherwise it would be a steal for a replacement tail lamp and a metal guard at that price! I think a chineeseum radius...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Just scored some new weathertech front and rear side window deflectors on the ol electronic bay! I go off brand on some things with the kj, but in channel wind/rain guards are not an area I gamble in :p

    Tail light guards?

Did they ever make oem metal tail light guards for the kj? At the junkyard hunting renegade flares, I noticed a 2003 had tail light guards on it. I got really excited to see them as I didn't know they made them just to find out they were plastic. They were definitely oem with how well they were...

    Liberty body parts interchange

I've been on quite a few liberty junk yard hunts over the last year and a half. I've seen some 2006 without fog lights, my 2007 sport had no fog lights. When I bought grille fog lights I just cut the inner section of the grille out with a oscillating tool. Double check it, but I haven't seen a...

    part name ?

In autobody repair I felt like its one of those parts everyone has a different name for. Like duderz7 said door sill trim or door sill plate, door sill guard, door sill scuff guard. Wonder what jeep/mopar calls them... I feel like door sill plate would be the silver piece that says jeep, but...

    Lifting the KJ 2022

That's a full spacer lift, not what you'll want right there. On those setups you're not getting any actual suspension pieces like springs or shocks, just things to space out the current suspension, which is likely wearing out if it hasn't been replaced. Crazy too how they managed to market a...

Walmart copied transponder key and programming 3rd key

I read on here somewhere as well that only the greys had the transponder in it, maybe thats for certain years? My key is black, and has the little rfid chip or whatever going on in there. I had an extra door/exterior lock key made, which will start the car, but then engine cuts off after about...

What is this hose - 34611-B - going into the airbox?

My original sponge bob I noticed was dirty, and turned into dust upon trying to remove. There's probably something a lot better, but I used an extra tire shine foam applicator cut down to size.

    My journey with the KJ

Yeah, the paints with a hardener that mixes in. On other jeep forums I came across searching about painting plastic, people had very good reviews for SEM, and said it lasted a long time. If I can't find any colors I like in paints with a separate hardener, I'll be going with SEM myself. I did...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Took the kj on a long drive to the closest harbor freight that had their new airless sprayer in stock, as graco wanted $150 just to look at one I bought that failed with 7 gallons through it. Did the definition of warranty change over the years and I didn't get the memo? 'Merican company...

    Strut Pinned to Body

As I'm sure it will get mentioned to you for the correct term, kj's are using shocks with a coil spring as opposed to struts. A big difference is any struts I've seen don't use an upper control arm, if a strut comes undone you have a major problem with how the car is driving as it's usually in...

What did you do to your jeep today?

It was just last sunday that I dyed the trim as a temp solution for the stock plastics while I continued my junkyard search for the pass front remaining renegade flare I need, been waiting for months. Found some today on a 2003 renegade, granted different than the 05+, but I did check on a 06...

    My journey with the KJ

That looks like it could be a nice product there, good idea on the test before going all in. For the price though, I think I'd shop for some 2k paint products. I've seen it ~$25-$30 a can on amazon, and haven't checked with my local paint shop on what price they can get some at.
