It ran perfectly, the body was just a POS because of the weather OH gets, and it just destroyed the undercarriage, as hard to accept as it was, as I thought I'd maintained everything perfectly.- narntek

Tom, There is a frame crack nearest to under the drivers side door. The U joint is also fractured. Basically it's falling apart all at once for whatever reason. 06 Liberty with "GASCAP" light
Found a guy that is a mechanic that lives reasonably close to me. Had it scanned, and it's coming back as an Emissions/EVAP sensor error. I don't have the exact code at the moment. 06 Liberty with "GASCAP" light
I guess I should have explained more, I put the original cap back on after cleaning it, and then replaced the cap. The light is still on. It's not running noticeably any different then before this started happening. It has gone thru an amazing amount of tail light bulbs in it's lifetime, but...- narntek

The neglected jeep
It hurts to see a Liberty like that. It's even the Limited Edition, and low miles for the year. People just don't seem to care when it comes to these. To tell you the truth, I'm glad it's back. It was a long road and kinda $$$, but it's been my "truck" for so long, that it makes sense. I basically know the KJ inside and out, know it's small quirks etc. I'm sure that if I purchased another vehicle (used or new) it would have it's own quirks...- narntek

FINALLY got the KJ back after a long awaited last week. The "skinny" is basically that the power steering was out. It was originally thought to be a pump, and I was quoted accordingly.
