    Honestly? The 20K difference in a 80K engine and a 100K engine is non existent. A well maintained 100K engine is likely a far better bet than a short trip, sketchy service 50K engine. That said, $1300 for a new Chry engine with warranty sounds like a deal to me.

    I never realized rebuild parts are available until I saw someone mention it here. From ANY parts store, much less Jeep, all that's available is a factory remanufactured complete shaft which sho nuff aint cheap! Anybody got a source and part number for the repair kit for this fellow?

    What's the in dash temp gauge showing? If system's full and gauge reads 1/2 there should be heat, so probably a core problem. If gauge reads low, then coolant's not reaching op temp, meaning likely thermostat issue.
