Valvoline MaxLife- High Mileage Blend
I used Valvoline Max-Life in a GMC truck that had 100k plus miles on it. Ran it to about 250K miles and it always ran good and never had any motor work when I gave it to my son who put another 50K miles on it with no engine issues when he gave it up. Not sure if this was due to the oil itself...- Dave

Nice find HJ. I almost bought a set of those from JeepDog when he took them off his KJ in 07 or 08 I think it was but didn't. They are nice. I still liked your OEM grey 5 spokes. Too bad that didn't work out. I still have the OEM silver 5-spokes on mine. Dave- Dave

Steps to reduce Gas Tank ruptures in rear end collision....
Haha....reminded me, I had a Ford Bronco II years ago with the gas tank in the same place as the KJ and a honda accord rear ended me and went underneith and imprinted my trailer hitch through his radiator and folded up his hood. No damage to my rear end or gas tank skid or anything. He had to be...- Dave

Plus"winter gas" we get sucks this time of year giving you extra bad gas mileage and I never shut mine down with below zero temps at night and single diget daytime highs. Temps are going up though and it was 22 degrees today (snowed all day so I was in 4wd) so I still did a lot of ideling with...- Dave

Stant radiator cap, any good?
I have used "Stant" in the past with no issues on different vehicles. Haven't used one in a few years now though. I am still running the OEM rad cap with no issues. Just my experience. Dave- Dave

Ran "The Pig" through the car wash to get all the road salt off. "The Pig" was white with road salt and now it is "Black" again. But we got more snow coming according to the weather perp.......must be winter....LOL Dave- Dave

Tire pressure: What's everyone running?
I am still running 35psi in mine. Same 17" OEM wheels you just sold with your tires, and 245/75/17 Bridgestone Dueller A/T's. Seems ok for me... Dave- Dave

Yeah, if I was closer I would just drive over and get those. I have the OEM silver 5 spoke ones on mine and the grey ones are nice too. I also have the chrome clad ones in the garage with terra-tracks on them. Those are nice rims/tires.........free bump. Dave- Dave

KJ has new shoes: Hankook Dynapro ATM long term review
Those look good, HJ. As far as the rear window clearing the spare, I am running a little bigger 245/75/17 and no clearance issues. Keep us posted on how they perform. I am also due for tires shortly. Dave- Dave

^^this. And get a price on the body work and then you can also compare that option to converting your 2wd to 4wd. There is also the time and place and tools to do the work and inconvenience of being without your Jeep so you will need another vehicle in the meantime.....(cost of all that?) Dave- Dave

^^yeah, I need to replace mine. The rear hatch only pops open about 6-8" when I hit the button. Then I have to open it the rest of the way manually but it stays up. No big deal. I replaced the 2 that open the hood with monroe since it would only stay up a few seconds until I got my head under...- Dave
