Regear because of weight or size?

is the D30A limited to only 4.10 or is it just a carrier break? I had issues with my transmission getting hot while offroading in deep snow. I threw on an HD cooling fan and even on 90 degree days offroading it keeps cool. I do use 4low almost all the time while offroading for the extra torque

Regear because of weight or size?

The tire size alone going from 29" (stock) to 32 only decreases torque 10%. This will make a difference, but more importantly added weight and reduced aerodynamics make a larger impact. My KKs weight without passengers or inside gear is 5200lbs. The added weight (tires, front and rear bumpers...

KK 4" Rear Lift Springs (kind-of)

Hey guys, I figured it would be of use to someone to know that I have found a decent alternative for 4" rear springs since nobody advertises them anymore First off, gotta give OME credit. I had no idea they had an applications catalog with all their spring specs in it :D Here's a link to it...

3.5" Econo lift hits rock bottom on the rear

Oh, nice! I would be concerned about the ID on those. On the stock isolators, mine (3.437" ID) fit rather snug

3.5" Econo lift hits rock bottom on the rear

In that picture i was running the JBA 4" rear lift springs, sadly they dont make them anymore because my springs were pretty beat up for running them without bump stops, i found a company in Cali that has tons of available springs and I took a shot in the dark and bought some...

    WAM Bumper

Yes, they supplied 6 grade eights for their mounting brackets The bumper mounts to the vehicle by two intermediate brackets that are bolted to the trailer hitch bolts. Definitly should be enough for towing or any straight forces, but I'm a little worried about a sideways recovery, but we just...

There is a sticky thread on the gears available for the KK and Diggerfreek mentions that you can get 4.56 and even 4.88 gears in the KK I've heard before that the KJ has a max of 4.10 in the front? Also, does anybody know when the carrier has to be replaced? I'm only looking at changing gears -...

    KK stock ride height

hey guys, ive heard the stock ride height of a KJ is 19" from center of hub to bottom of fender flare. Is this the same for the KK? I just went out and measured and mine are as follows: DF - 21 1/8 DR - 22 3/8 PF - 21 3/8 PR - 22 1/2 it leans to driver side a bit because of the gas tank +...
