I'll have to do some digging but I think I have my old two tow hooks that were removed for ARB bumper install. Not sure about mounting hardware but I'll check. Box is buried somewhere in my garage.
Prepping the KJ for my first hunting trip of the year, about 650 miles round trip. Went to the Quadratec tent sale in my neck of the woods this weekend with close to 75 miles highway driving. I noticed a good amount of steering wheel shake and vibe at highway speed is now present that wasn't...
Did about 100 highway miles this week back and forth to work. I usually take the back roads at 30-50mph but I'm preparing for a long hunting trip next month with about 5 hours of highway driving. No new leaks, creaks, or anything falling off yet.
I was enjoying driving it and very happy with the results of my new CV axle and intermediate shaft. That feeling lasted less than a week as I now have a sticking rear brake and/or e-brake. All pads, rotors, and e-brake shoes were replaced a month ago. I was driving home and thinking that...
I installed a battery disconnect for when I don't drive it for a few weeks. Will disconnecting the battery for a while cause the rear window to pop open? I plan on garaging it but just in case I leave it in the driveway would like to know.
I vaguely remember reading that it would happen (could...
Passenger side CV and intermediate shaft replacement done! Huge difference - my Wife even said she notices (and she is not a big fan of my Just Empty Every Pocket KJ!)
Now I have to decide if I want to go to the Ocean City Maryland Jeep week or the off-road park this weekend.

I'm having my passenger side done Monday and when the shop ordered the parts his supplier said the intermediate shaft came with the passenger side CV axle. Based on everything I've read on this forum that does not sound right to me but I guess I'll find out.
New brakes front and back, both rear axle seals replaced, and replaced front drivers side CV axle. Passenger side CV and intermediate shaft are next on the list.
Thanks for the info and advice. I'm going to a shop my friend swears by for a second estimate. My buddy says they will do exactly what I want done and will install any parts I bring so let me see how that goes.
I originally had a BDS 2" lift and had a CV's done at the same time since they were original at 102K. I upgraded to a JBA 2.5" lift 25K miles later and had to replace both CV's again. Now 15K miles later I found out the intermediate shaft was never replaced like I asked and now the passenger...
