dealership botched the alignment, hopefully i can get it over to a good shop during the week. usually the alignment is fine as far as toe, camber, etc...but caster is usually out of spec (usually between 2.5 and 3 degrees). but now my steering wheel is turned slightly to the right, caster and...

    A/C SYSTEM Oil capacity

The tag under the hood says 1.25lb of refrigerant and 240cc of oil. The only component i am replacing is the compressor, i am not flushing the system, the compressor did not fail, the clutch is the problem. But it was cheaper to buy a new compressor. Should i add the full 240cc to the...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I heard what sounded like lifter tick on Wednesday so i replaced all the lifters on Saturday. I have now realized that it is either the belt tensioner or the A/C compressor clutch making the noise. on the bright side, my cams, rockers, etc... all look excellent, some minor sludge at the oil...

    Lifters for 2006 3.7L

I don't consider myself a great mechanic by any means and i feel confident in my ability to replace them. in order to access them the valve covers are the only part that needs to be removed on the 3.7, the cams, rockers, valves, etc... all stay in place. I'm not sure that you absolutely have...

    Lifters for 2006 3.7L

I just Ordered the Sealed Power HT-2308's from rock auto and over-nighted them. I will hopefully see them by the end of tomorrow or Saturday morning. better to be safe than sorry. even if they fit, every picture I see shows the oil hole in a different spot on the lifter between the...

    Lifters for 2006 3.7L

Napa sold me sealed power HT-2271 and they are listed as being compatible with the jeep 02-04 3.7L motor. AFAIK, there should be no real difference in the lifters used on the 02-04 3.7 and the lifters i need for the 3.7L in my 2006. Will the HT-2271 Lifters work or will I be in for a...

    door compatability 2003 vs 2006

I need to replace my passenger side rear door, (rust has finally claimed it), I am wondering if a door from a 2003 liberty will work on the 2006 model year, i have all of the trim and interior parts from my 2006 that i could swap over, i am just unsure about the door itself. thanks in advance.

What did you do to your jeep today?

replaced the driver side brake hose. It looked bad when i first pulled the wheel to clean and lube all the front suspension/brakes, and about 10 minutes later it started dripping quite fast...noticed the brake fluid is dirty, so it looks like a complete fluid exchange will be next, looking...
