    Air Conditioning Recharge

autozone changed their loaner tool program but maybe this is still available https://www.autozone.com/loan-a-tools/loaner-pressure-tester-adapters/oemtools-a-c-manifold-gauge-set/326077_0_0 You can get R134a with dye or inject the dye directly with an injector tool. I find that this is best...

    Air Conditioning Recharge

good luck! I would inspect the system for leaks first. you'll need to inject some dye into your system.

it's refrigerant not coolant. You can get a loaner manifold from your LAP too.

Overheating when Idling -- question on fan part

No worries. It's pretty much the same engine I think. They just moved the rad and windshield reservoir up in the front.

Overheating when Idling -- question on fan part

-i think the e-rad fan at autozone has lifetime warranty. not sure about the KK but the KJ yes. -i would get the coolant system pressure kit from the loaner tool program. for the KJ you'll need both toolkits not sure about the KK. Might as well get both just in case. AutoZone cooling system test...

AC Compressor issue - Help please

did you put in the correct amount of refrigerant? sounds like it's still low in refrigerant. I assumed you evacuated the system then shut the valves to only observer internal vacuum? Did your PAG oil already have dye in it? check for leaks. I assumed you also purged the yellow tube of air...

    Time to replace all coils?

autozone has 6x for 128 for lifetime warranty. don't flak me for bringing AZ up. YMMV I haven't had any issues with my 3x duralast coils. And I'm ok with the fact that if I had any issues, it'll just be a simple exchange at the store versus having to deal with online retailers.

2004 Jeep Liberty (current: Engine Swap)

I think the steering rack bushing might be a good thing to change out too while the engine is out.

Help Please 2005 Liberty with frame rot?

the 3rd brake light seal is known to not provide a proper seal around the light housing. I added some weather stripping around it to help with that.

AC Compressor issue - Help please

man... good luck. I'd try to find the leak(s) first before changing components. There's the return and high side rubber hose too that could have a leak. FYI aftermarket parts don't seem to make the low side orifice line in the proper length. i.e. it doesn't sit flush the side of the engine...

AC Compressor issue - Help please

That's true but I'd do what you need to maintain your compressor's warranty. I believe OEM compressor is Denso.

AC Compressor issue - Help please

That's why I recommend working with an A/C shop to do the recovery and refill since they have proper tools for it. I think there's only the orifice tube in the aluminum low side line so there's no expansion valve.

AC Compressor issue - Help please

mmm I'm not an AC tech so can't help but it sounds like it's low on refrigerant based on the pressures and the compressor engaging and disengaging. If you do change the compressor, to keep in mind you'll have to change the accumulator and the low side line for the warranty. Also some may...
