you need a couple nutzerts or riv nuts to put in the back of engine/front of trans skid. The rear of the trans skid also will take them but most that don't have nutzerts bolt through after drilling a hole in the cross member.
Typically people put the trans with the engine on top so there is...
If its the high pressure line going to your rack then any year will work. Alternatively you can cut off the fittings off your failed line and got to a hydrualic hose place and get a new line with compression fittings. Bring in your old hose so they can size them for the compression fittings...
If you think its thrown a weight, take it to a machine shop to have it balanced. Adjusting with 2 band clamps is only diagnostic in that if the vibration changes, you identified the problem area.
still sounds like rear driveshaft to me. Put a couple hose clamps as Balance weights on driveshaft.
Move them around and see if rumble changes. Baring that, remove rear driveshaft and put it in 4H and go for a run if your not convinced its driveshaft.
Noise disappearing at coast has me...
If you want to run moabs your going to need more than an inch. While the whole prelowered thing was relevant when comparing stock heights back in the day it doesn't matter anymore do to discontinued parts.
my estimate to run 255 70 16 would be a 2.5 inch lift. Given how shitty the rear...

tried nighthawks and some fancy sylvanias. Phillips were better. Just bought same for Low beam on the minivan. Better than stock x 2 or more(differnt bulb). Over 2 years on the KJ with no burn out.
Threads only 3 months old, and not 8 years. Did much better than most post 2 members. You also suggested stuff that did work for you especially when thread open ended with no fix posted. Your fix was also inexpensive (bonus points)
Welcome to the forum.
there is nothing sacred about 8 inch wide rims. Its only popular as thats what moabs were in 03-06. If you can find 7 inch wide ~4 - 4.5 BS it would work just as well.

If your doing DTT's, your already replacing carrier. Unless your setting up used 3.73s to save some coin go all out.
If its too low with your current tires, go bigger. 265 something or bust.
