Be careful when welding it, it likes to burn through the thin sheet metal really easily I'd do a practice run on some sheet metal that's a comparable gauge to stock and maybe he added the spacer for some reason to alleviate the boot issue or just an angle issue?:shrug:- TheBlueKJ

Catalytic converter rattling.....going bad.....
Oh and I just saw what you posted about the o2 sensor. The sensor after the cat is there to make sure the cat is working and that's it. The pcm looks at the secondary to make sure that the cat is working according to spec. Sent from my iPhone using the power of children's laughter- TheBlueKJ
