How long will a typical Jeep Liberty engine last?
After rebuilding both 3.7s in our Libertys I use 10w40 Valvoline and Wix filters only. I change oil EVERY 3000 miles.- Hdrider

How To: Change front driveshaft / change a driveshaft head
I have replaced my last cv joint t-case end! I am now running a front shaft from a 93 Cherokee. I had to do some machining work(lathe) on the diff yoke. Machined a bushing to press onto the yoke in the seal area to fit the liberty pinion seal. Otherwise it was a bolt in job. I pulled the yokes... -

Key stuck in ignition (and the fix)
Both of my 02s do this every now and then. If you lightly slap the shifter in park it solves the problem. Works on ours every time.- Hdrider

I have 2 02 liberty's. Both bought with dead 3.7s. $600 for 1 $800 for the other. Complete DIY rebuild with new heads and pistons plus all the usual stuff. How long will a typical Jeep Liberty engine last?
I bought my 02 sport with a spun rod bearing at 169000 for $800. I did the rebuild myself. Reground crank, 1 rod, pistons/rings, oil and water pump. Had the heads checked(all good) then cleaned and lapped valves myself. I put 10000 miles on rebuild and then a valve seat dropped thru #2 piston...- Hdrider
