What did you do to your jeep today?
I’ll ask for the mileage on the head when i pick it up, the scrapyard said that they have it on the shelf. For $200 (my discount) I hope it’s a good head. Any advice on pulling the head and other components that should be changed while in there. It’s the passenger side head. US- Noclutch

What did you do to your jeep today?
I was on my way to pick up a used head right now with mostly everything in there. What’s a good solid way to check if the piston is good and the key way? Appreciate your input brother, really clears the fog and helps me lay out a game plan to get my 04.KJ back on the road!- Noclutch

What did you do to your jeep today?
Will do I’m hoping it’s something like that and for the misfire I’ll check the rocker arms and lifters see if they popped off and also do a compression test. Yesterday i put champion copper plugs i had back in and the misfire still persisted.- Noclutch

I’m not the original owner of the car. I used Prestone HOAT (orange)only or distilled water. I done changed the radiator, thermostat, thermostat hosing, upper and lower coolant hoses and the overflow tank. I never realized anything strange with the coolant while doing these multiple jobs all at...- Noclutch

What did you do to your jeep today?
Decide to drain the coolant on the 04.KJ and to my surprise found grey sludge in the coolant. might be looking like a head gasket failure. Trying to weigh my options now.- Noclutch

The battery is in good condition it’s at least 1 year and some months old terminals are clean and have been sprayed with fluid flim to keep them clean. The spark plugs changed them less than 7000 miles ago I do admit they are the laser double platinum spark plugs but it feels like a harder...- Noclutch

Oil change on the 04 Kj today used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30 167437 Seen that they had boxes of it at the dealership so i decided to try it when i saw it at the parts store. Going to fix the hose tomorrow and I plan on doing the lca bushing soon since i seen they were trashed when replacing...- Noclutch

Recent work done on the 04 KJ Dorman overflow tank Mevotech upper control arm on passenger side Mopar gas cap ($5 off marketplace) I noticed this tear on pcv hose, any part number i can use to get a replacement- Noclutch

What did you do to your jeep today?
Few weeks ago i was in a pinch and decided to borrowed the 07.KJ upper and lower coolant hoses for the 04.KJ Well today the 07 got these Dayco hoses let’s hope they hold up well. Did need to trim the lower hose to get a figment that i liked but beside that went in normally.- Noclutch

@duderz7 I put all the bolts in original orientation and boom the cam bolts went into place and now the car runs great! I do have a question are the rack and pinion mount bolts supposed to ride the rack and pinion bushing? It looks like it might be a little space between the bolt and bushing or...- Noclutch
