Replace stock front tow hooks with D-Rings?
Just picked up my welded hitch receiver tubes. Cleaning them up then hitting them with some primer/engine enamel/clear coat and will post pics of the finished product. Very happy with the welding job my local welder did. -

Oh you are absolutely right. I just meant completion date for my front shackle mod :gr_grin: Hitch tubes and mounting brackets are at the welding shop now and I'll be picking them up after work. A few coats of paint and on they'll go. Thanks for the comments guys. I appreciate it!- Elmer

The ends of the 6in tubes sit flush with the bumper and I'll be putting shackle receivers on them which will stick out a bit past the bumper. -

Next upgrade will be front d-rings to replace the stock tow hooks. Stock hooks have already been removed so that 6in hitch receiver tubes can be welded to the mounting brackets. Estimated completion date: DONE- Elmer

plastic fender rivets
I think sanding it and going over it with the roll-on should fix up those drips. Rattle-canning takes a lot of discipline not to cover the entire surface in one coat. Multiple light coats spread out over a long period of time is the best way to go to ensure you don't spray too much. Took me...- Elmer

Replace stock front tow hooks with D-Rings?
Receiver tubes arrived today. When mounted they'll fit flush with the bumper, so should look pretty damn nice once I get the shackles on there. -
Lift or Not to Lift (RRO Combo)

Home brew double rcvr front hitch
I'm doing something similar, however my receiver tubes won't stick out that far. I'm having two 6in tubes welded to my stock tow hook mounting brackets, and then putting on some d-ring hitches. This: + this: = something similar to this:- Elmer

Receiver tubes should be here tomorrow. The local welding shop is open M-F until 4pm, so I won't have a chance to get them welded to the mounting brackets until Monday. Haven't ordered the d-rings or d-ring hitch tubes yet, so I'll have bare hitches for awhile. -
What did you do to your jeep today?
Removed factory tow hooks so I can get my hitch receiver tubes welded to the brackets and throw some d-rings on them. Should be completed within the next week.- Elmer

Bad creaking noise coming from rear end
Removed my rear sway bar the other day. Problem solved. No creaking sounds whatsoever.- Elmer
