Yeah I will try this. But I've literally tried everything. I doubt soapy water will lubricate it better than silicone spray despite it being damaging. Essentially if I got up on the tire and shook the KJ by pushing and pulling on the roof rail I'd get the sound of an old squeaky coil mattress...
I saw this one but it doesn't look as wide. I bet it was just custom made which I may just get a local machine shop to do. Doesn't look too too difficult
Ive had this creaking in my rear.. hehe.. for months now, after i had the rear LCA's replaced under the recall and i put my full OME kit in. i've tried silicone spray on both the rear LCA bushings as well as the Tri-link bushings with no result. Over the winter months it seemed to be less...
Anybody know who's rig this is or how they fabbed this tube bumper in the front? Think it looks awesome and great clearance. Totally want to steal this for my KJ :worship:
Thanks
i think i have located the issue - coming from the bushings within the rear LCA's where they attach to the axel - i also had these replaced under the recall.. sprayed some silicone lube all over these bushings and the noise stopped for a week.. now it's back. called the dealer and they said...
so I think I have located the issue.. its coming from the bushings within the LCA's where they attach to the rear axle.. called the dealer and they said they'd be happy to take a look but if they found nothing wrong it'd be $118/hr labor :( have got to be kidding

thanks

Im not...

here are the instructions.. you use all the old hardware up front - the spring cups and and top and bottom plates on the strut tower.. you only need two teraflex bumstops for the front.. for the rear you...
ive yet the chance to look at it again.. seems to be less so after it rained yesterday so im convinced it is somethign rubber that's dried out or cracked and now sitting in a different position with the lift.. as mentioned, i sprayed the bushings in the y-link with WD but it persisted.. will...
my full OME lift has been on for about 500 miles and Im just noticing this creaking sound coming from my rear (i believe)...i sprayed the control arm bushings with WD40 and the problem still persists...it sounds like an old coil spring mattress when i shake the KJ from the roof rails and i can...
