Should I be getting the kit that includes the long travel rear shocks or regular length? What would be the differences, other than the obvious longer travel?- nmadd118

Power steering fluid ATF+4 or PS fluid??
Ha I read the owners manual but the nitwit at the auto parts store said "no, you do not want to use transmission fluid, that will ruin your PS system" so figured I'd ask.. I only have 54k miles and it doesn't seem to be leaking too bad.. Might just keep an eye on it and put off fixing it- nmadd118

Brought my '05 in for the rear control arm recall and the guys at Jeep performed a safety check and noticed my PS reservoir was lower than normal, that my line was leaking.. Going to add some more fluid but was confused when I opened the manual and it said to use ATF+4 tranny fluid and not...- nmadd118

Thanks guys.. I probably don't have the funds for the regearing this time around, but I will look into reprogramming the speedometer.. With the OME kit, are the front struts assembled? How difficult is it to assemble if not?- nmadd118

uncle krusty, you still have this pdf? Im looking to fab a custom bumper, kind;ve a big undertaking haha but my creative mind has be going... need to find a metal working shop to make the cuts.. i want to try to keep it one piece as possible and just have them bend it to form the shape -
New shoes on a college budget
almost three yrs later and still strong.. no peeling anywhere, just the normal nicks and scratches from rocks and debris that you'd get on any other painted wheel from the factory.. plan on just touching up or giving another coat after I lift and get new tires.. been a long time waiting on...- nmadd118

probably not too much sag, only 52k miles on her, live 1 mile from work haha... i have the stock wheels, spray canned them black years ago with engine enamel and clear coat which has held up extremely well... likely will have to re-do them when i get new tires bc of where the weight is mounted...- nmadd118

im looking at 235/75r16 bf goodrich rugged terrain t/a's on stock suspension, no room in the budget/need for a lift (only light off-road)... will i have issues with rubbing? is the 245/70r16 a better size to go with? the 235/75r16 will give me a little extra height but aren't as wide...- nmadd118

yeah it should.. my brother has done it on other wheels and has lasted upwards of 3 years.. i don't think sanding or using primer is necessary because its paint on paint.. just a good clean with soap and water.. we'll see how it holds up..- nmadd118

Did this is one evening... Used Engine enamel flat black and high performance wheel coating clear coat on the wheels.. Krylon flat black for plastic and same clear on the centers.. masked off the Jeep logo... did three coats of paint and three coats of clear.. let me know what you think...- nmadd118

Front bumper removal on '05 KJ
Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the front/rear bumper on an '05 KJ?? Bennett posted the instructions for '02 style front valence but then they changed it and I'm assuming its a little different..
