The pocket is in the upper part of the glove box. It's a like a slot that the information sits in. The dealer told me there was no manual with the Jeep when I bought it and eventually noticed it... It happens like that.
Well I think I'll go with the 16 x 8's then. Especially if I'm going to upgrade tires in a year or so. I just bought my Wranglers last summer and have a bit of life on them.
The 16" diameter, will that be a disadvantage when upgrading in the future? I see many people who have 15".
Yes, the Cragar Soft 8's. The backspacing is 4" for the 16 x 7. I'm not too familiar with the laws of backspacing, but I think the 16 x 8 have a 5 inch backspacing.
I think the 8" will be advantageous in the future when I upgrade tires.
What do you think about the backspacing?
I'm about to order wheels and was told that there is not much difference between the 7" and 8". I currently have the stock aluminum wheels, 16 x 7 with 235/70 R16 Wrangler SRA's. Will my current tires fit the 16 x 8 wheels?
Are there any advantages to getting an inch wider?
Looking to...
I think I read somewhere that you can drill them out or pry them off. Either way I think they break and you need to go buy new snaps to reconnect. This is just a vague recollection from the back of my mind.
I have the same stereo in my Lib. I like that mount better than mine though and it would enable me to not have to run my usb to my glove box. Where did you get it?
How did you make the upper lip part? Did you just use the dowel rods and cut them at 45 degrees at corners, for the whole perimeter? How did you fasten? I used conduit brackets when I made my first cargo shelf. I might go the drilling route this time.
Ima look'n and Ima like'n.
Maybe I'll rebuild mine with a lip. Practice makes perfect. How did you fasten the rear of the shelf to the squarish seat bars?
I thought it would be interesting to see how far people have made it with the gas light on.
Not necessarily until you've run out, but how far have you risked?
21 miles.
I'll take some pictures today when I get home from work.
Searcher: Can you elaborate on the insulation problem? I'll have to check everything when I get home.
