I have a complete compliment of Craftsman tools...You name it I got it! Can't beat the warranty OR THE PRICE! Plus Sear's are just about everywhere local. If you happen to break something you can have a new one in short order... That being said, I think that I have only replaced 3 3/8 ball end...
Why do you need anything to get under the KJ? I can just roll right under mine! Just wait till I get a lift!
I use jack stands, they are more handy..Lets say you need to change the brakes...Can't do that with ramps!
Might as well do it now, like you said you have the time and tools NOW!
Changing the spark plugs is an easy task, just try not to break the plastic wire harness channel!
Everything that your talking about is easy to do and inexpensive, so do it now you never know what the future might...
Try moving your dowel rod forward, causing rearward pressure thus holding the shelf against the seat backs. Are you the one that posted the dimensions
with the drawing? If so, I have you to thank.. I went by those measurement...
I didn't fasten it to them, with the back seats locked in and the 7/8 dowel rod in the slots it holds firm. If I do happen to have any issues I will probably use a velcro strap to hold it.
Getting the carpet around the corners took some doin, I used a hair dryer to heat the carpet and mold it...
I get s seatbelt light but no ding!! What year is yours? Mines an 02...I wear my seatbelt all the time anyway but I still neverheard a ding...
I too seldom have the fuel overflow problem, but very seldom and it only happens at one station. Of course thats the station closest to the house...
I am going to make a pole rack for the brush bar, maybe 2 alum. holders that I can attach somewhere on the bar. My light gear will have to go on the safari rack. I think that if I buy 2 sets of those plastic rod holders that you mount on the wall and find a way to mount them on the basket so...
Anyone have things they dislike about the KJ?
I'll start:
I'm a shooter and the only way to carry my guns is to put down the back seat to fit my case. When we go camping I either have to carry my case on the trailer or I am limited to which weapon I take. I like to take the sniper...
Oh, I forgot..
1/2in birch plywood 3/4 X 1.25 in pine rails
Indoor outdoor carpet from Lowes
dowel rod 7/8 X4ft
spray adhesive, hairdryer and putty knives
I used the hair dryer to heat the carpet to make it form better to the angles. Putting the carpet on was the hardest...
Well, I started at 4pm and just now finished, well its in and looks good. I just want to put in some straps and a fire extinguisher , it could use at least one light under it. I'll put up some pictures tomorrow or maybe later if I get chance.
I love the way it looks as well. I had mine on for about 15 min while driving on the road..It was chilly out (in the 50's) and I was driving the speed limit.I had no issues and felt no hot heat on the covers, they were warm but still not pliable. the 55watt bulbs have a life span and I really am...
Where I am from (MD) we have Assateague Island where we are ALLOWED to drive on the sand. You have to have a 1'X1'x1" plank and other sand rescue gear. I had a Toyota 4X4 at the time and never got stuck. We did have to pull others out. The biggest trick is to air DOWN your tires to about 15psi...
