I was curious why you said it was "totaled" in that other post of your's. And I'm surprised that your insurance company is willing to write it off this long after the bodywork was done.
I agree with everything that LibertyTC stated. A bad wheel unit bearing will howl not sound like a metal on metal scraping sound. Likely your disc brake pads are shot or the caliber sliders are seized up.
You want to hear something odd? Even though I've had my PCM modified for bigger tires the speedometer is still off (reads low) but my MaxiiTrip reads the correct speed. Both get the same data from the PCM.
Didn't the 04 to the 06 Libby's have a built in tranny cooler in their radiator? If so then all you'd need for the complete trailer package is a mechanical clutch fan & fan shroud (available at your nearest wrecking yard) and a class III hitch. If your horse trailer doesn't come with hydraulic...
I had my dealership configure my 04 Liberty's PCM for my LT245/75R16 AT's. I believe the 02's to the 07's you configure the tire size and that the 07's and above you have to configure revs. Am I right or full of sh*t?
Wow guys, this post has been real educational. I've learned whether or not disc rotors should be turned or replaced, advice on brake shoes and that LibertyTC is OCD about cleaning his Jeep! :happy175:
Today I plan to rotate my tires. I'll be inspecting the brakes to see how worn they are...
I hate you LibertyTC :favorites68:
Before I read your posting it never occurred to me to detail my Liberty's air intake & fan shroud. Now that I have I notice how dirty the rest of my engine is. Now I'll be spending the rest of the summer detailing it!
Yeah the eBay ones definitely weren't Spidertrax.

Here's what happens when you buy the wrong ones;
Maybe he can bore out the openings for the studs.
The original posting on another forum; Wheel Stud...
I'm following posts on another Jeep forum where some guy bought a set of wheel spacers off off eBay. He can't seem to get the lug nuts threaded enough to hold the spacers safely. Here's hoping you don't have the same issue.
You do realize that running spacers or nonstock offset rims will increase the load on the front wheel unit bearings.
Still I'm interested in trying a spacer to run a 15" rim on my Libby.
Hey, watch it with the "C" word. Some of us Canadians find that other "C" word offensive & even racist :disgust:
(P.S.: thanks for the link to Princess Auto)
Y'know I've never given the stuff under the hood much attention but after seeing those pics I'm now interested in cleaning & detailing the engine bay. Thanks for the idea.
While changing the oil & filter in my Liberty I discovered this;
Am I going to have to pull the engine to replace the oil pan?
It doesn't appear to be leaking badly yet. I resisted the urge to flake off any corrosion.
