I just went through this recently.
What I found out is:
- If you have the smaller tensioner (pulleys are the same size, 3 inches)
- You will need the shorter belt. It measures 86 3/8 inches
- If you have the larger tensioner (pulleys are different sizes, I believe
one is 3 inch...
No I did not. I was the most curious about the flywheel that I forgot to ask about the old clutch and pressure plate. :disgust: All I know is that they were in great shape (along with the old flywheel) with 78,000 miles on them.
I also picked up a brand new flywheel when I did my clutch in October(last one in the USA, a nightmare to find.) Using a straight edge with a light behind it, I can confirm that the flywheel is perfectly flat with no curve behind it. The transmission guy I use also confirmed this.
I just went through this a while ago. I ended up with a flowmaster 70 series after trying a magnaflow.

Just had this happen to me in my Dodge stratus, thumping noise and would stop when I hit the brakes. It just started all of a sudden. Try re-torqueing you lug nuts, 3 of mine were loose! All snugged up and it was quiet again. Weird becuase I am quite anal about torqueing my lug nuts and then...
On a side note, I just went through the same thing trying to find out the belt sizes to pulley sizes.

Tire size is 245/70/17. No, I did not regear. As far as power, yes but not really noticeable, it still has plenty of power for what I need. I only lost 0.5 mpg at most.
I agree with the Duratrac being an awesome tire. It's definitely what I am getting next. However, if you are dead set on getting BFG A/T's, I would advise buying General Grabber AT2s for a lot cheaper. IMO they are an updated version of the BFGs. I also have went places with my Grabbers in...
You could also try a hypertech programmer. It seems to get favorable reviews from the ones who actually tried it with the 3.7 engine... :emotions33:
24hp/24tq claims. The WK crowd loves it.
I heard back from one of the customer service guys online. He has none in stock but shows only 1 available at a dealer in San Diego! So there is one flywheel left in the country! Makes me wonder if I will ever be able to get another one if I keep the KJ for a long time.... :icon_cry:
I can try it. Although it's looks almost exactly like the last site I tried ordering from. Most of those sites order from Chrysler directly and don't carry any stock. Which is how I found out it was discontinued when my last order was canceled. :icon_cry:
Thanks for the help though!
I ordered all new parts for my clutch yesterday just to get an email back stating that the oem flywheel is discontinued from Chrysler. :boxed: I then figured I would just get an aftermarket one right? Wrong. I cannot for the life of me find a flywheel for a 3.7 engine! Anybody know of a...
I just went through the same thing. I ended up with the flowmaster 70 series. Read my review on it.
