The resistor might be 470 ohm or 390 as they both worked on the tan/blue wire when connected to ground. There are 2 tan/blue wires and you do need to use the smaller one. Wired similar to...
At least I am not alone, did you use a relay and what ohm resistor? Some info show it needs a relay but since my remote starter gave a negative pulse I figured I could just omit the relay. Some places say a 420 ohm resistor is needed and others show 470. If it warms up I will wire up a relay...

I had an old Avital 4103L around that I was going to use on my 1996 Chevy truck before the torque converter gave out, you might want to look around and see if something newer has better features. I used the same model on my 04 Sunfire for a few years without issues until the motor went on that...
The question is why tommudd was online since then and didn't take out the garbage?
I picked the right time to install the remote start on my 2006 Liberty with the snow and cold weather this past week
If you have a piece of wire and a couple connectors, you can jumper across 2 posts after removing the starter relay, I think that might be on the other thread and in the video
https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/bad-starter-or-different-issue.54155/ might have the fix
Found a video showing how to replace actuator pin in the ignition switch
I put an avital 4103L remote start in the 2006 Liberty Renegade and the remote start remote lock works but not the unlock. I have tested the resistor by connecting it to a wire connected to ground and the doors unlock and even switched the wires around so that the unlock button should lock and...
You don't need to replace the driveshaft unless it is damaged, the u joint does have needle bearings that need grease and even the best sealed bearings will go dry eventually and the joint will go bad
One of the maintenance guys from work left early yesterday because his wife could start their Grand Cherokee, he wasn't lucky enough to get away with replacing the battery and changed the starter outside in the wind and the snow.
Installed a remote start in the 2006 Liberty, one that I had planned to install in my 96 Chevy K1500 before the torque converter went out. I might have to get a couple resistors as I want the parking lamps to show an acknowledgment of when it gets commands and another for remote unlock from the...
On my 96 Chevy K1500, I just used a big hammer to remove the old ball joint
I didn't cause any damage but a good press works better. The ball joint/PTO/u joint press sold by harbor freight work ok on PTO and u joints but aren't great for removing/installing ball joints
To me it is six of one and a half dozen of the other. To me, banning spammers when the first post is moderated is like shooting birds on the ground or fish in a barrel
On one forum I am a moderator all new users need their first post approved by a staff member before it is displayed but it may not be an option because of staff here or the forum software may not allow this option. I know there are stopforumspam plugins for many forums but that isn't always...
