Rear only, and only needed if you have a trac-lok. You'll be able to tell once you've removed the diff cover, just look for pictures on the interwebs. I also suggest a lube locker gasket.
If I'm understanding, I believe you're looking at heater core hoses, bypass heater hoses, heater hoses. Something along those "lines"...no pun intended.
If you have access to a wrecking yard you'll be able to grab the other goodies needed for the disc swap. I'm fairly certain parking brake cables are different not sure about the hydraulic lines? Plus at the yard you might get away with leaving calipers and lines connected to axle and not be...
Housings are the same between 8.25s 02 thru 05 with the center diff sensor. It's unlikely you'll run across the 35 that was in a few of these things. You can convert to disc brakes. It's a common mod for xj peeps to get the setup off of Liberties. You'd need to change some brake lines and cables...
I don't remember for sure, but I likely used crown as it's my usual go to when oem is silly expensive.
I'm interested to know more about this setup. Do they fit right in? Stock 4runner springs? Ride height?
OME 2948 if I remember correctly, whatever is their highest rate, I think they call it medium. Then add 2 extra spring isolators on top of each side for a total of 3. Spring should get 2.5 inches and each extra isolator is .5 inches.
Looks like they couldn't even bother to tighten hardware before taking pictures, I'd be concerned about what other shortcuts were taken...then again they could be fine? Who knows?
If you have to ask the question...most likely you do not want a CRD. Diesels in general require more maintenance and it's my understanding that diesel mechanics don't know their way around the quirky and unique CRD including dealers. It seems that many owners find themselves subject to their own...
Mine did it after I had the dealer replace them on recall. I picked up after hours and was up til 2am releasing and retorqing everything they touched. An old crusty bolt fooled them into thinking it was tight. I ended up getting an alignment free of charge after I let them know their failure.
That's the wackiest thing I've heard all day! If it pulls one way on acceleration and the other when braking it's the rear lower control arms. There's no special jeep liberty magic when alignment is needed.
I've it a couple times (resoldering defrost tabs) using a cute little ratchet with the torx drive. Not too tuff if you're the right height and can use your head to hold the window when there's only one or 2 screws.
I'm running 927 on mine, no fancy bumper or winch, it does have stock skid plates, but they don't weigh much. It is a very smooth ride, not over sprung at all.
