    Rear UCA is shot, help!

You could get a good used Mopar one and use the JBA extention, This is what worked for me, The crown and mevotech were both junk - lasted only 6 months or so with a lifted jeep.

    Oil filter drip tray

Thanks guy's, I think this must be it, Really makes it cleaner when changing your oil, the shop most likely took it off when changing the steering rack bushings and whatever.

    Manual Transmission oil replace questions

2qt's syncromesh - I had trouble shifting - it was caused because of a leaking slave cylinder. On my 2004 it has a 17mm allen on both the fill and drain, also has a magnetic plug on the drain plug..

Replaced Ball Joints on JBA A-Arms today

My upper ball joints have always had that spacer - it doesn't help holding back grease from escaping from the top. I just today replaced the pass. side - I think it's the third time, This time I got a lifetime warranty with the Moog replacement from Adavance auto.

Replaced Heater Hoses, Rad Hoses, Etc

I changed all hoses ,radiator, tensioner,t-stat and water pump this past fall as a preventive measure on my 04 with 160k - used all Mopar parts - I've seen too many Chinese water pumps fail at the worst time. I had a lifetime warranty on a Chinese water pump and radiator on my kids Honda civic...

    Compressor question

Was the system ever opened up before? If so was the person an a/c tech? R134 systems take a very exact amount of refrigerant - too much or to little make much difference and all the non -condensables have to be removed with a vacuum pump. The recharge kits sold at auto parts stores should...

    Maybe another Libby but manual

I think the Jeep manual is one of the easiest I've driven, Almost 200k and never had a problem, Replaced clutch and slave cylinder at 150k. I thought with that mileage and both kids learning to drive on it along with towing a pop-up it would be worn but it still had lots of life to it.

    Heater core leak?

I think it's the wrong side for a heater leak, I would check the windshield if it's been replaced or in my case when the dealer installed my alarm system back in 04 they punched the plug out under the brake booster and i had water coming in from there.. The insulation under the floor holds lots...

    05 Liberty Renegade Misfire

Okay - from my paperwork 7 years ago, Misfire codes p0301,p0302,p0306 , checked engine compression, has internal engine problem, removed cylinder heads to diagnose further - found intake valves pitted, replaced valves and cleaned exhaust valves and lapped all valves, reassemble and reinstall...

    05 Liberty Renegade Misfire

Some prices are outrageous today, Definitely shop around and not be in a hurry - mine ran smooth with the misfires. I also wonder how many misfires are acceptable and how many to trip the light and can they re-program the computer to a higher setting ever. I'll try to find the repair receipt...

    05 Liberty Renegade Misfire

My check engine light would keep coming back, At 82k I would not get a new engine, I would just repair what is needed, I have near 200k now on my KJ and it's been perfect, To bad you didn't live closer - I have a Mopar mechanic that would repair and re-install the heads for less than $ 500.

    05 Liberty Renegade Misfire

Mine ran perfect with multiple misfires, The dealer found the problem with their computer otherwise I was changing things that was not needed, I also thought the 04 year was the last year of valve issues..

    05 Liberty Renegade Misfire

    05 Liberty Renegade Misfire

When I purchased mine back in 2003- about a year later I started getting random misfire codes along with #6 misfire, under warranty they replaced the valves and maybe valve seats, it ran well with the codes. No codes in the last twelve years.

    How do these bushings look?

The one Spaulding auto sent me was in perfect shape with a guarantee - The extender from JBA was another $60 and puts the rear arm in a horizontal position rather than the tilted position your lift puts it in.

    2002 radio/cd changer replacement

When mine died 3 years ago - I went with a unit with H.D. radio ( free non commercial radio ) And a usb port that I can plug in a thumb drive that holds thousands of songs. Crutchfield has great deals and will send an install kit and instructions for the liberty. I haven't listened to the...
