I tried this, turned the fan from mid to low speed, couldn't hear a hiss. Moved the temp knob to cold and fan to high to see if that made a hiss and the air changed. Could be my imagination but i thought i heard a click or pop when I moved the temp knob that time with the fan on high...
Coolant is fine. It was checked and topped off a couple weeks ago when i got the oil changed and the fluids checked for winter. Garage floor is clean, no drips or leaks.
Couldn't be the resistor could it?
I took my '11 Liberty to Java this morning and the heater was set on a comfy temp, about 1 if you look at the knob like a clock face. After going to Java and home we went to my niece's soccer game and on the way back the vents were pumping out hot air. Knob hadn't moved, still in the 1 o'clock...
