yea i tried running engine untell its up to temp then open bleeder and leave open until air stops bubbling. then i also tried draining system and refilled at the bleeder untell i coudnt get any more. far as thermostat goes i believe it can only go in with the spring facing inside the engine...
yea i actually filled it from there last time i drained the system because i saw that people had luck with it. im just lost with this i will update you guys if i find out anything. Thanks for the help.
replaced heater core water pump radiator thermostat twice. one none mopar last one mopar. car doesn't over heat but i get no fluid to new heater core small hose 5/8 to heater core i fill heat and pressure. 3/4 hose cold no fluid. if i pump hose (squeeze it) i get fluid and some heat. but it...
Thank you man that was a very good read about how the cooling system work. Im sure its air in the system but getting it out has been the problem. Im also thinking i might have a small head gasket leak not enough yet to cause overheating but just enough to put air in coolant. I will do the...
ok so just got done for today this is what i found out. larger heater hose you have to pump to get hot. top radiator hose gets hot bottom cool then thermostat opens electric fan comes on bottom hose gets hot so seems to flow there when thermostat opens. small heater hose gets hot all the time...
i did that about 2 weeks ago thinking headgasket was causing exhaust to leak in coolant system. i neve could get the fluid to change colors. i tested the fluid to make sure it was good by putting it to the exhaust pipe and it did pass that test but testing the reservoir i never got it to change...
i just installed a new water pump last saturday. I end up getting the same results i wounder if the engine when full of fluid there is something blocking the outlet or inlet connection to the heater hoses
yea just wondering if i got a bad one.i pre filled it with coolant when i installed it. but the funny thing is when i flushed the system the last time i can tell that the coolant i prefilled in heater core was still the same coolant. and thats after a full week of driving. so thats why i...
thats what i was thinking but im not sure if coolant is even going to the heater core. if i pump the hose(squeeze) i can get coolant threw the heater core which then i have heat. but it goes away. with temp gauge in vent i can get the heat up around 140° out the vents but it slowly goes back...
do anyone know which is the supply line to heater core. when i looked it up it doesn't say but if i look up part on autozone website it says the 5/8 inlet and outlet is 3/4 the outlet if that is the case the outline line is the line that i pump and it gets hot then. is it possible i bought a...
ok will check with pressure tester.not sure if it could be the radiator cap. I also replaced the tank on this when i did radiator because it was full of junk and i couldnt get it all out. it came with a new cap
parts that have been replaced are heater core old one was 80% blocked. i have installed 2 thermostat first one was from autozone. then i saw on here people saying order a mopar one. so i installed that. radiator was replaced before heater core because it had a leak and we didnt even need heat...
