Thanks for all of your help and ideas guys. I guess I will have to look into a Rusty's lift kit and bigger tires. Seems extreme to have to do just to run down our favorite beach. I was hopping to leave stock it gets good mileage with the 225's and the 6spd tranny. Anyone here heard anything...- crabhab

2007 Jeep Liberty Clutch Failure
Well the jeep dealer found sand in the bellhousing. There is a vent on the bottom of the Liberty 6spd manual transmission (6oclock position) that has no seal infact it looks like a little scoop is picks up alot of sand sent off of the crossmember. now keep in mind I am not jumping sand dunes...- crabhab

I am scrapping bottom. Very soft sand of Assateague Island National Seashore ORV area near Ocean City, MD. We live on the eastern shore and have been dragging stock height XJ, ZJ, and YJ/TJ's for years with no problems. The "roads" up and down the beach are a bit deep for a stock height...- crabhab

The dealership is about 30miles away. They told me that they have a sand pit they can use to trouble shoot 4wd issues. My question is why didnt they try that when they had it the first time?- crabhab
