04 Liberty Brake Line

Hey y'all, so I'm a first time poster here. I am working on my brother's 04 Liberty Sport and I am going down a terrible rabbit hole here. So he popped a brake hose last week on the front driver side. So I decided to replace both of the front ones for him while I was there. The driver side one(the blown one) went flawlessly and went onto the passenger side. While not blown, it was soon to be, thing looked terrible!

Immediately it all went to crap. The flare nut rounded off even with a flare nut wrench. And when I finally got it broken free with vice grips it twisted the line off with it. So I decided I would splice in a length of line to the factory one and nope! I couldn't get a flare on it, the line would snap at where I was flaring it at every attempt. So I decided, I'm going to replace the whole line. And this is becoming a total nightmare...

I managed to get the old line out by cutting it around 10 times. I ordered the replacement line and it came in 3 pieces. But the question is, how the hell am I supposed to get this thing in? It has a million bends and seems to go underneath literally everything. I don't see how I'm going to get this thing routed without mass tear down. It literally goes underneath the steering shaft, through the front end by the radiator support, through the plastic headlight bracket things(secured with a bunch of fasteners up top and behind the bumper cover, to tucked in behind the bumper.

How am I supposed to get this thing in without pulling the steering shaft, bumper and front headlight piece(no idea what it's called). This hour long job has turned into a complete and utter nightmare, and I am not having fun! Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you!

You may find it easier to work with NiCopp line. It is in a roll, double flares easily, and more easy to bend around and flex and mount in the clips.

The line I bought is prebent, specifically meant for a Liberty. I got them from SSTubes. Maybe getting a roll of copper line wouldve been easier. Could've kind of made my own bends.

Yeah, I figured you got the pre-bent. Did that on my Silverado - and some are a real booger to get there.

The line is not just copper, it is a Nickel and Copper Alloy. Reqular soft copper would blow out at the fittings wiht brake system pressures. Son and I are using the NiCopp on an old Ford truck that he is redoing for a rust bucket runner.
