So I have a 2002 liberty I inherited from my uncle. It had a blown head gasket and quite a few other issues that I have already fixed. The next thing I need to address is the keyless entry. I do not have a working key fob so I bought a universal at auto zone and when trying to program it it tells me that I need the original working one to program the new one. Is there a way I can program the new one without the dealers assistance? The reason I ask this is because I went to my local jeep dealership and they informed me that this year model was older than what their system was capable of programming and they couldn't help me. Every time I unlock and open the door it sets off the alarm and I have to quickly turn the key on to stop the alarm. Please help....
