My parents friend is living with us for a little bit to try and get back on her feet after she lost her job. She had a G6 which was totaled before and she didn't know about it. Long story short, she got rear ended and they declared it totaled. Her insurance gave her what it was worth, $6000, and she owed $3000 on it so she had very little money to buy another car. She bought a 2002 Liberty Limited 3.7L 4x4 with 111,000 miles on it and it drove perfect...until yesterday. Here is what she told me: The needle on the temp gauge started getting toward hot so she called her son to check it out. The coolant level was low and they didn't have any so they filled it with water. She said the temp gauge was fine after that. She went to go pass someone going 35mph and it wouldn't accelerate, so she had to go 35mph the whole way home. I scanned the codes and they were P0300 Multiple cylinder misfire, P0301 Cylinder #1 misfire, P0302 Cylinder #2 misfire, P0442 Medium evap leak, P0153 2/1 02 sensor slow response. She took it to a mechanic today and we're waiting to hear back. If you guys have any input that would help so much. Thank you!

Could it be something with a cylinder coil pack? I believe the cylinder 1 and 2 should be on the same coil pack. Not sure about the other codes, though. The '02 Liberty is a beauty. Once you get this fixed, I doubt your parent's friend will have any other problems with it.

Check the engine air filter, too. If it's clogged up with a lot of shit, you might be getting error codes like these. That's an easy thing to check, and should be done first

It could possibly something to do with the sparks? But I'm not too sure about that...

Cylinders need air, fuel, and spark to fire correctly, right? So make sure you get all areas checked.
