hi, im needing some help....couple weeks ago i replaced a raditor and a thermostat in my wife jeep liberty...now today we put some gas in as it was low..went to town to see some family everything was fine then got on the interstate coming home and was doing about 72m.p.h. and the truck started to shake like it got a flat...but looked down to see the engine light flashing. so i pulled over and looked couldn't see much but was rushing as we had our newborn in the car and wanted to get home as fast as possible! anyways as we started back to the house it was running rough as u give it gas, then as we were getting close to home it started bucking as u give it gas almost like it was out of gas! got home and parked it and it's idling rough!

im unable to work on it tonight as it's dark and raining..so gonna jump on it first thing in the morning was wondering anyone had anything like this happen before? and also wondering if anyone had any tips of where to start looking thanks for the help!

This sounds a lot like what happened to me last night! And, I did replace my radiator recently as well...about 2,500 miles ago. It really doesn't seem radiator/coolant related though. Mine is in the shop now waiting for diagnosis. Don't keep running yours, manual says is the light flashing, service immediately or you will/already have damaged your cat. I got mine off the road ASAP and had it towed last night.

Recall on a 7 year old vehicle for a misfire at 122k miles? Wtf? Serious?

Change the plugs, do some Googling, keep the elementary troubleshooting for a silly misfire under your hat until you've done some rudimentary investigation at the very least.

OMG MY JEWP IZ BROEK WAT FIXT IT BRAH Y IT DO DIS?

Spend $12 dollars and an hour to inspect the spark plugs. Jesus, people are so helpless. At least Google this shit if you don't know where to start.

This may or may not help you...but i figured i'd throw this out there anyhow. I had a similar thing happen to me with a ford explorer randomly out of nowhere. Flashing CEL as well. I changed spark plugs, spark plug wires, both coil packs, and a full exhaust from manifolds back and still had the same issue. Do not drive it at all if you dont absolutely have to. I had no choice but to so i could get to work and it was shooting sparks and eventually turned the cat red hot and caught on fire. Just a heads up. I never resolved the issue...obviously..because of the fire it was pretty much done.

thanks, i haven't drove it but just to test it out as i have been changing things out...more of a ford guy myself that why i joined up here to see if anyone had these same problems!...been worried about gas getting in the Cat...but i changed the coil out and spark plugs nothing changed...next the fuel injectors see where that leads me!

P0203 is open injector circuit, cyl 3, P0304 is misfire on cylinder 4, P0123 is a throttle position sensor. All codes double checked with Google (!) because ThunderbirdJunkie is rusty with OBDII codes.
so, check your ******* wiring harness for continuity at the #3 cyl injector and cyl #4 coil pack.

ThunderbirdJunkie is only helping you because he's a condescending, narcissistic ******* and in the future, between bowls, you should let people know if you've done some diagnostic work at all so people don't assume you're stoned out of your ******* gourd when you post and assume (probably rightfully so) that you're stupid and incapable of rational thought.

PM inbound, tough guy.

Fuel injectors were my next option when dealing with it...but they were hard to get to. I had codes reading too lean on bank 2 and all that jazz. So everything was just burning way too hot. Couldnt go above 30 without everything shaking to shit
